The Chilterns in Colour
Two local artists, Jacqueline and Charlotte Burrage, will be holding an art exhibition at the Old Fire Station Gallery. Profits from sales of their work will be donated to local charities, Riverside Counselling and Home Start Reading.
Jacqueline was formerly a Translator and Interpreter and has developed a spontaneous painting style in gouache, acrylic and oils that highlights intense colour and energy.
Charlotte is studying Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh and has also gained an Arts Foundation Diploma from the Arts University of Bournemouth for which she was highly commended.
Their work has a strong focus on colour and is inspired by a love of the countryside and the Chilterns.
Venue
The Old Fire Station Gallery is a converted fire station providing a magnificent gallery for artists to display their paintings, sculptures, tapestries and photography.
